Duluth Named as next Marlow's Tavern Destination

ATLANTA (November 3, 2008) – Restaurateurs John C. Metz Jr., Tom DiGiorgio, Richard E. Rivera and Hank Clark, the four partners who are behind Aqua Blue in Roswell, are keeping Gwinnett County residents satisfied with a gourmet take on tavern fare. In January 2009, a sixth location of Marlow’s Tavern will open at Satellite Boulevard and Sugarloaf Parkway near the Arena at Gwinnett Center. Marlow’s, a neighborhood restaurant concept credited with taking American tavern fare to a new level, will serve Duluth residents with a casual and friendly gathering spot to enjoy a great night out on the town.

“We are really looking forward to bringing our updated version of the classic American tavern to Gwinnett,” says Metz. “The area surrounding the Arena has really started booming in the past couple of years and that’s why we feel this is the perfect location for the next Marlow’s Tavern,” he adds.

The restaurant will offer the same menu of American tavern fare with an upscale twist, like the other five locations of Marlow’s, as well as feature a similarly styled décor courtesy of DiGiorgio’s development and construction firm, the DK Group. The 3,500 -square-foot tavern will serve lunch and dinner daily. The space, which seats approximately 100, also features a bar and covered patio area. Marlow’s Tavern in Duluth will also feature a vast wine list of red and white selections as well as a wide variety of bottled beers that include local favorites such as Sweetwater 420 and Terrapin Rye Pale Ale.

The new Marlow’s Tavern in Duluth is located at 1950 Satellite Boulevard. The restaurant will open daily at 11:30 a.m., serving lunch and dinner. The restaurant does not take reservations. Ample parking is available in an adjacent lot free of charge. American Express, Visa and MasterCard are accepted.
